World Volleyball Day – Why This Game Means So Much
July 7 is World Volleyball Day. For some, it’s just another date on the calendar. But for me, it’s a quiet reminder of why I do what I do.
Why I carry my camera from one arena to another. Why I chase fast-paced rallies through the lens, and why I still get goosebumps every time the crowd holds its breath before a match point.

Volleyball is more than a sport. It’s emotion. It’s the chemistry between teammates, the discipline behind every drill, and the pure joy in every jump. It’s a game of rhythm, energy, and connection—and that’s exactly what I try to capture in every photo I take.
As a photographer, I don’t just document games. I collect moments:
– The fire in a setter’s eyes.
– The nervous smile of a rookie before their first serve.
– The pure chaos of a five-set comeback.
– The hugs, the tears, the sweat, the glory.
On World Volleyball Day, I celebrate not just the sport, but the entire volleyball community—players, coaches, fans, and everyone who makes this game what it is.

This year was extra special for me. I had the chance to be the official photographer for Imoco Volley during the CEV Champions League Super Finals 2025. Shooting the Final Four games, being behind the scenes with such a world-class team, and capturing moments in a stadium full of energy and tension—it was unforgettable.
Thank you for letting me be part of your stories, even if I’m just the guy with the camera in the corner.
Happy World Volleyball Day.
See you courtside.
